The Creation
Travel by road to nearby Waipoua - domain of Tāne Mahuta - the giant kauri of the forest. Listen closely to the chorus sung by the “children of Tāne” as your Kaiārahi shares their wealth of knowledge. Return to Manea where your haukāinga share the immersive journey of migration ventured by our tūpuna (ancestors) to reach this great land. Uri (descendants) present stories and enact the great trials together with victories which befell our tūpuna in laying the foundation of our descent, drawing you ever closer to Te Tihi Ao - a wonderful experience to witness!
A chance to reflect as you pause for a beachside picnic lunch, before travelling by road to the heart of Ngāpuhi - Ngāwhā Springs - where your haukāinga skilfully weave the threads of our connection to one another. You’ll have the chance to bathe in the healing waters of Ngāwhā, soothing away the long day before returning to your luxury accommodation.

Connect with your Te Tihi Ao Kaiārahi (guide) this morning as you make your way to your awaiting helicopter.
A stunning flight awaits as you track towards the northern most tip of New Zealand. Marvel at the sights of Matauri Bay and the Cavalli Islands below, continuing your journey over the purest deposit of silica sand in the world at Parengarenga Harbour. The colliding currents of the Tasman Sea & Pacific Ocean are a sight to behold as you round Cape Reinga lighthouse, past the stunning Ahipara dunes and iconic Ninety Mile beach. Your exhilarating flight culminates at the Hokianga Harbour, where an inviting welcome by your haukāinga (hosts) awaits, revealing the story of Creation, from Te Kore, the very beginning of time; Te Kore.

The Evolution
Connect with your Te Tihi Ao Kaiārahi (guide) this morning and depart by private vehicle to Kerikeri township.
Arrive at Te Ahurea, where you’ll be met by the descendants of great Ngāpuhi chiefs. Here, an interactive morning provides the opportunity to hear about our rich history whilst learning traditional methods and techniques, we continue to use today. Paddle waka, take part in pōwhiri (welcome), raranga (weaving) and rongoā Māori (traditional medicine); pausing to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with an outlook to Kororipo Pā and Te Awa o ngā Rangatira (the river of Chief’s), on completion.
Say haere rā (farewell) as you travel to Waiomio Valley, where you’ll be welcomed by the spectacular sight of limestone formations together with the haukāinga of this place. Join your Kaiārahi on a hīkoi (walk) through the Waiomio Glow Worm Caves as you learn about the many stories of the tūpuna who settled and lived in this place. Carved over millennia, Waiomio is home to the luminescent light of the glow worms, endemic to Aotearoa New Zealand.
Here you’ll connect with your pilot as you board your awaiting helicopter, for a breath-taking scenic flight over the many hills of Ngāpuhi and across the Bay of Islands; reminiscent of the path flown by our ancestors Reitū and Reipae on the back of a Kārearea (New Zealand falcon), culminating at your luxury accommodation.
